Volunteering is a great way for you to be involved in RoboCup 2019!

Over one hundred volunteer positions are required to support the RoboCup 2019 Competition at the International Convention Centre Sydney from 2-8 July 2019.

As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for delegates while assisting the hosts to deliver a professionally run event.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for volunteers who have the time, technical skills, dedication and enthusiasm to help us deliver this major international event. If you are professional, committed, hard working and reliable, then you are exactly who we are looking for.

What roles are available?

We are seeking volunteers to assist staff and support RoboCup 2019 delegates by:

TECHNICAL and JUNIOR:

  • Soccer Referees and Assistants,
  • Stage administrators, Judges, Facilitators and Observers.

GENERAL:

  • A good command of English and proficient speakers of other language such as Spanish, French and Mandarin will be favoured
  • Assisting with data processing, entering scores, double-checking scores, making copies and print outs, etc
  • Information desk duties and handling attendee registrations
  • Providing directions and running errands related to RoboCup activities

Volunteer crews are scheduled to work 8-hour shifts. During weekdays the morning shift is from 0700 to 1500 (including 1-hour for a meal break), and the evening shift is from 1400 to 2200 (including 1-hour for a meal break). Saturday morning shift will be from 0800 to 1600 (including 1-hour for a meal break).

Who can apply?

To apply you will need to be:

  1. At least 18 years of age,
  2. Fluent in English (proficiency in a second language would be an advantage),
  3. Available to attend a training/orientation session scheduled prior to RoboCup,
  4. Available to work a minimum of two full days from 3-8 July 2019,
  5. Able to fund and take care of your own travel arrangements (visa, flights, accommodation)
  6. Able to provide your NSW Working with Children Check for the RoboCup Junior League

Applications will close 16 June 2019

The successful applicants will be notified before the end of June 2019.
